WW2 Japanese Army Bunchin
A WW2 Japanese Army Bunchin or paper weight. The bunchin was used to hold the paper in place during writing. This brass example is in the form of a Japanese sword tsuba.
The tsuba has kanji reading ‘Longevity’ along with a single cherry blossom and bamboo leaves below clouds.
The bunchin has a diameter of 8.5 cm.

WW2 Japanese Conscripted Labourer Badge
A very uncommon WW2 Japanese conscripted labourer cloth patch / badge. The conscripted labourers patch was introduced in Japan in August 1943 by the Ministry of Welfare. These were issued to workers conscripted into wartime production service.
The square silk backed cloth badge measures 8 cm by 8 cm.

Imperial Japanese Russo War Medal 1904 - 1905
A fantastic boxed Japanese Russo - Japan war medal. The Russo-Japanese War was fought during 1904 and 1905 between the Russian Empire and the Empire of Japan over rival imperial ambitions in Manchuria and Korea. The war ended with a victory for the Japanese empire.
The Meiji period gilded bronze medal has the traditional Japanese hook and eye fixing.

Japanese China Incident Sake Bottle
An unusual Imperial Japanese Army sake bottle. The ceramic brown flecked effect bottle celebrates the ‘China Incident Memorial’.
The front of the bottle has yellow kanji around a yellow imperial army star. The neck of the bottle has red kanji.
Late 1930’s early 1940’s.
The bottle stands at 15 cm tall and has a width of 6 cm at the widest point.
Imperial Japanese Army Artillery Sake Cup
An Imperial Japanese Army ceramic sake cup. The smaller sized ochoko shaped cup has a fantastic hand painted war flag on the interior. The cup celebrates an end of service of a soldier named ‘Kamioka’ from the Imperial army artillery.
The cup has a diameter of 5.3 cm and stands at 2.8 cm tall.
The cup has no chips or cracks and is a very nice example. read more

A very nice Imperial Japanese Army ceramic sake cup. The Sakazuki shaped cup has a hand painted national and war flag on the interior. The cup celebrates the ’End of service’ for a soldier from the 40th Infantry Regiment.
The cup has a diameter of 6.5 cm and stands at 2.8 cm tall and has no chips or cracks.

An original Japanese pre war postcard showing a line of battleships in rough seas. The front of the post card reads ‘The voyage of the main battleship fights the angry waves’.
The postcard measures 14.3 cm wide by 9 cm tall.

WW2 Japanese Honour Cord
A WW2 Japanese Kokumin Fukugirisho or Honour Cord. The honour cord was not an official award but privately purchased to be worn with the Kokumin Fuku for ceremonies. The Kokumin Fuku was the men's civil attire introduced in Japan in 1940 during WW2.
Some examples carry the family crest in the centre of the badge.

WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Medical Warrant Officer Shoulder Boards
A pair of WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Medical Warrant Officers dress uniform shoulder boards. The boards are of a heavy braided silver and gold bullion design. The boards both have a plain gold coloured button at one end.
The undersides of the boards are lined in black wool with hinged metal sliders.
Each board measures 14 cm long by 4 cm wide.
