WW2 Japanese Army Type 99 Water Bottle
A WW2 Japanese army Type 99 enlisted mans / NCO’s water bottle. Dated ‘Showa 18’ (1943). The water bottle has the cork and wood ‘Model B’ stopper, which was introduced in 1942. The body of the canteen still retains most of its original paint and without holes.
The bottle is housed in a ‘Model A’ harness which was an all webbing version with a leather and buckle strap to secure the stopper.
Good complete example.
